We’ve tentatively called the project the “pushmi-pullyu” house because of the extensions — in that the first move is to reach out to capture enough space to be able to put a table and a tub in, and the second is to grab the garden and pull it inside. The “pull” happens through drawing the exterior materials into the interior. On both floors, you understand that you are outside of the original structure when you inhabit the extensions.
