The Insadong district is one of the few neighborhoods in Seoul where the historic fabric of shops, galleries and tea houses remains. A narrow edge of selected site faces the main street; the longer edge is bounded by a 2m alley. Simple program blocks of a gallery and small performance space are used to study the boundary between the building and its rich site.
