Although my Hangulmal improved over the year, our primary means of speaking to each other in studio was through architecture. During the first semester we worked on learning how to talk through architecture itself. The biggest discovery of our dictionary was that the entries did not translate directly into English or Hangulmal. Each entry became a three-dimensional “word,” which we referred to as we continued our studies.
